Rider
Rules - Snowmobile
- GENERAL
RULES:
1. In any classes, no changes or modification is allowed unless
specifically allowed in these rules. If these rules do not specifically
allow a change or modification, then it must be assumed that the
change or modification is not allowed.
2. In all classes it must be a snowmobile engine, with oem manufactured
block.
3. No roller secondary clutches except for monster x class and
open classes.
4. All classes are leaf spring front suspension except for fan
class 84 and newer and monster class.
5. Rider
ages for all classes are up to club discretion.
6. Stock sleds 84 & older must be steel or OEM replacement
type skis, hydraulic brakes allowed. You are allowed to change
gearing, allowed to use aftermarket handlebars.
7. All machines must be safe in workmanship like manner.
8. If you do not complete one full lap in heat race then you do
not go to main event. If you do not complete one full lap in final
race, no points are awarded for race, you must complete over 50%
of final race to get full points for that place or trophy.
9. Year end points tie breaker = who ever gets most 1st places,
if still a tie then the highest finish in the last race.
- RACE
RULES:
1. Mini Sled Stock Class
- up to 120 cc stock machine, studs allowed.
2. Yamaha Snow Scoot to run in Mini
Open Class.
3. Youth Class 7-15 Years Old
- no open sleds allowed, single cylinders only.
4. HR + HD Stock Class
- must be stock machines, carb adapters are allowed.
5. HR + HD Improved Stock Class
- stock with pipe, may use any primary clutches, any skis, stock
suspension, no reed valves, stock ignition, may use carb adapters.
6. HR & HD Class
sleds must be date stamped 1975 and older.
7. Modified Open Class
sleds must be date stamped 1976 and older.
8. 76 & Newer Stock Fan Single
must be box stock, fan cooled.
9. Pre 84 0-485cc Fan Stock
must be stock machine. 485cc Phazer with pogo suspension allowed.
10. Pre 84 0-485cc Open Fan Class
- no factory racers.
11. Pre 85 440cc Max Liquid Open
Class sleds must have leaf spring front suspension.
12. Powder Puff Class
- no liquids, no open class sleds allowed.
13. Fan Class 84 & Newer Stock
Machine is open cc’s, stock skis, stock
suspension.
14. 0-440 Free Air Open Class
must be leaf spring front suspension.
15. Class X must
be snowmobile frame, includes all twin tracks, manta or raider
(must have roll bar) must have full track enclosed side panels,
any snowmobile engine, any skis, any snowmobile clutch, any suspension,
any fuel delivery system.
- MANDATORY
ITEMS :
1. Front protectors on skis.
2. Studs, unlimited number, but no longer than 3/8" above
the lug on a track. Must be less than 60 degree studs.
3. Snow flaps on back of sleds must be tied down.
4. All drivers need flap jackets or chest protectors.
5. Teathers are mandatory and must be attached to the rider.
6. All snowmobiles must have belt guard.
7. Every pit must have a fire extinguisher.
8. Full face helments, with Snell 95 or newer rating only! Mandatory
orange helmet or orange reflective vest.
9. All snomobiles must have clearly visible numbers! Three (3)
plates of numbers -- front, RH side, LH side. Numbers must be
min. of 8", black number on 10"x11" white background.
Up to 2 digit numbers, no letters!
10. Any fuel except alcohol may be used.
11. Each track will provide a Tech Inspection to check each machine
before you race.
12. When the Yellow Caution Flag comes out, riders proceed with
caution aware that there is an incident on the track requiring
caution. Yellow Caution Flag laps will count.
13. Shielded track stand is required for lifting and running machines
in the pits, or staging area.
14. We will police picking up machines, running in the pits, and
throwing out studs and cleats.
15. All machines must have a working taillight for all night races.
Must be a minimum of 6 square inches of light.
